We work in full-grain leather and suede, from tanneries certified Gold by the Leather Working Group. Full-grain keeps the hide's natural grain, so it softens and takes on a patina with wear, rather than coating over and cracking the way corrected grain does.
Full-grain leather
The top layer of the hide, with the grain left intact. It's the strongest cut, and it patinas with age instead of peeling like corrected grain.
Gold-certified tanneries
Our leather comes from Leather Working Group Gold-rated tanneries, the industry benchmark for environmental and traceability standards.

Who is Rebels Market?
Rebels Market is an American company based in Woodside, California. We design made-to-fit leather shoes, boots, and jackets, and we work with the specialist leather workshops that build them. Every piece is made to your measurements, so the fit is yours rather than an average pulled off a shelf.
How long have you been in business?
Since 2012. We started as an alternative-fashion marketplace. Today we design made-to-fit leather shoes, boots, and jackets.
Do you make your products in-house, or outsource?
We design every piece ourselves in Woodside, then build it with a small group of specialist leather workshops we've worked with for years, not whoever is cheapest this month. They build only to our patterns and standards, and every piece is inspected before it ships.
Where are your products made?
They're designed in Woodside, California, then handcrafted by specialist leather workshops in León, Mexico; Ubrique, Spain; and Lahore, Pakistan. We chose each for its particular leather tradition and have worked with them long enough to hold the same standard across all three.
Why are your products made outside the U.S.?
We're an American company, but we choose where something is made based on the skills required to make it well, not simply where the workshop is located.
Our products are made by specialist leather workshops in Mexico, Spain, and Pakistan that we selected for their experience in leather construction. Rebels Market handles the design and customer experience from the U.S., while our workshop partners make each piece by hand to the customer's order and measurements.
Who makes your products?
Experienced leather artisans, working by hand. The cutting, stitching, and finishing are done by people who have worked with leather for years and take real pride in it. It's craft, not an assembly line, which is part of why each piece takes the time it does.
How do you keep quality consistent across different workshops?
Every workshop we work with builds to the same patterns, specifications, and standards, and every piece is inspected before it ships. Anything that doesn't meet the mark is corrected or remade before it reaches you, so where a piece was made never changes what you receive.
What does made-to-fit mean?
Made-to-fit means we build your piece to your measurements rather than pulling a standard size off a shelf. You choose a style and a starting size. After you order, we’ll ask for a few measurements, and only then do we start cutting and stitching. That's why nothing sits in a warehouse, and why the fit ends up yours instead of an average.
What leather do you use?
Full-grain leather and suede, from Leather Working Group Gold-certified tanneries. Full-grain keeps the hide's natural grain, so it develops a patina and softens with wear instead of cracking. The exact leather and hardware for each style are listed on its product page.
What does your warranty cover?
Every piece comes with a 1-year craftsmanship warranty covering manufacturing and quality defects. If a covered defect appears in normal wear, we'll repair or remake the piece at no charge. It doesn't cover ordinary wear and tear or accidental damage, but if you're ever unsure, reach out and we'll take a look.
What if my order doesn't fit?
If the fit does not feel right, contact us. We’ll review the measurements and production details with you. If the item was incorrectly made, we’ll offer a remake or refund. An item correctly made to inaccurate submitted measurements is not eligible for a fit-related return or remake, but our team will explain any available options.
Can I return an order?
Made-to-fit items may be returned when they arrive damaged, defective, different from the confirmed order, or incorrectly made. Contact us before returning an item so we can review the order and provide the next steps.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to around 90% of countries worldwide, with free shipping within the U.S. A few destinations aren't available yet, so if you're not certain about yours, send us a note and we'll confirm before you order.
Do you run discounts or sales?
No. We price our made-to-fit work fairly year-round instead of marking it up so we can discount it later. Honest, consistent pricing is what we would rather be known for.
